The star was in Dubai at the Coca Cola Arena for a launch event, where he received a warm welcome from the host and the audience. While the crowd cheered loudly, Hrithik used the moment to address the film’s performance in a lighthearted way.

War 2, which released on August 14, failed to meet expectations despite being a major part of the YRF Spy Universe. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the action thriller starred Hrithik as Kabir alongside Jr NTR, Kiara Advani, and Ashutosh Rana. The film was criticised for weak writing and lacklustre VFX, surprising many fans who were expecting another blockbuster.
