Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design to Global Launch on this Date

In September 2024, the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design, the first foldable smartphone with three displays to be sold commercially, was introduced in China. The business has now disclosed a global launch date and stated that it will be launched in a few markets outside of China.

According to reports, other companies like Samsung, Honour, and Oppo are developing their own iterations of triple-folding smartphones. Notably, at the IFA 2024 in Berlin, another company named Tecno unveiled its Phantom Ultimate 2 concept smartphone, which has not yet been released.

Later this month, on February 18, Huawei will have an Innovative Product Launch event in Kuala Lumpur, the firm announced in an X post. The poster’s layout indicates that the business would use the occasion to unveil the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design smartphone.

The brand has confirmed in another post that the triple-folding phone will be released globally at the event. It is anticipated that the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design’s international edition will have features that are comparable to those of its Chinese equivalent. It features a 10.2-inch flexible LTPO OLED panel when fully unfolded, which can be folded once to create a 7.9-inch display and again to create a 6.4-inch screen.

According to reports, the phone is powered by a Kirin 9010 chipset. The phone comes with 16GB of RAM and HarmonyOS 4.2. Storage capacities of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB are available. A 50-megapixel primary rear sensor with OIS capability, a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5.5x optical zoom and OIS are all included in the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design’s camera lineup.

For taking photos and making video calls, the front camera has an 8-megapixel sensor. With a 5,600mAh battery, the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design supports both 50W wireless and 66W wired charging. 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB 3.1 Type-C port are among the connectivity choices. For security, it incorporates a fingerprint sensor on the side. It weighs 298g and has dimensions of 156.7x219x3.6 mm when completely unfolded.

The Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design’s 16GB + 256GB model costs CNY 19,999 (about Rs. 2,35,900) in China, while the 512GB and 1TB storage models cost CNY 21,999 (approximately Rs. 2,59,500) and CNY 23,999 (approximately Rs. 2,83,100), respectively.
