In a first-of-its-kind initiative, a humanoid robot co-hosted the Demo Day of Tata Technologies’ InnoVent 2026, symbolising the convergence of artificial intelligence, human creativity, and future-ready engineering.
The robot played multiple roles during the event, including welcoming jury members, anchoring panel discussions, engaging with student teams, and participating in award celebrations. It also demonstrated advanced conversational and social interaction capabilities, highlighting the growing role of AI and robotics in engineering education and innovation.
The Demo Day was attended by senior industry leaders, including Warren Harris, MD & CEO, Tata Technologies; Lalitha Indrakanti, CEO, Jaguar Land Rover – Technology and Business Services India; S K Dash, CTO, Air India; Marc Wille, CEO, ES-Tec Group; and S Sukanya, COO, Tata Technologies, who evaluated the top 10 finalist projects.
