Hyderabad flights cancelled and diverted amid unfavourable weather conditions

Unfavourable weather conditions caused a number of flights to and from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to be cancelled or diverted on Wednesday, according to airport sources. They also announced the cancellation of IndiGo flights to Kochi, Chennai, Patna, and Ahmedabad, as well as return flights from these locations.

Up to eleven flights were rerouted to different locations. Later, seven of them came back and arrived in Hyderabad by nightfall. A’red alert’ has been issued for several areas of Telangana through Thursday, according to the IMD. An “orange alert” for “heavy to very heavy rainfall” has also been issued for a number of regions, including Hyderabad, a Met Centre spokesman informed reporters.
