ICC World Test Championship Final: Match officials revealed

The International Cricket Council (ICC) named the match officials for the ICC World Test Championship Final, which will be contested in Southampton between India and New Zealand commencing June 18.

The match referees will be Chris Broad, while the on-field officials will be Michael Gough and Richard Illingworth. The TV umpire will be Richard Kettleborough, while the fourth official will be Alex Wharf.

Adrian Griffith, ICC Senior Manager – Umpires and Referees, stated, “We are thrilled to announce an experienced panel of match officials for the World Test Championship final.”

Given the pandemic, it has not been an easy period, but they are lucky to have a squad of officials at the top of their game who have been constant through the years in this monumental occasion. ICC wishes them the best of luck in order to succeed with their whereabouts.
