The singer, actor and entrepreneur, who welcomed her daughter Rocki in September 2025, was recently seen in Los Angeles spending time with her son Riot. However, instead of celebrating her journey into motherhood, sections of social media focused on her appearance.
Several users on X criticised Rihanna for not “bouncing back” to her pre-pregnancy figure. The comments reignited conversations about the immense pressure placed on women, particularly public figures, to quickly regain their former bodies after giving birth.
Actor Ileana D’Cruz did not stay silent. On Thursday, she shared a post from Evie Magazine on her Instagram account that spotlighted the harsh remarks directed at Rihanna. The headline read, “Rihanna refused to hide her post-pregnancy body, and it makes people furious.” Reacting strongly, Ileana wrote, “This makes me so mad.”
She further expressed frustration over what she described as deeply unfair expectations. Emphasising the physical and emotional strength required for motherhood, Ileana noted that Rihanna created, delivered, and continues to nurture her child. Questioning why society’s focus remains on physical transformation instead of celebrating motherhood, she called such standards “bloody infuriating unrealistic expectations.”
The incident once again highlights how conversations around body image and postpartum recovery continue to dominate discussions about women in entertainment.
