India to give authorisation to Oxford/AstraZeneca from next week

India is likely to give emergency use authorization to Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine by next week after the local manufacturers submitted additional data sought by authorities. India would be the first country to consent to the British vaccine, and inoculation would start from next month.Oxford/AstraZeneca shot is suitable for lower-income countries and preferable for hot-climate countries as it’s cheaper, can be comfortably transported and stored at normal temperature in fridges for a long time.
