Indian cricketers not allowed to meet each other for three days in Southampton

The star player of India vs England series earlier this year, Axar Patel revealed that the team is to follow strict quarantine rules for three days before they are allowed to train at Ageas Bowl ahead of the World Test Championship final against the Blackcaps. The final between both the teams is to start on 18th June and the Indian team has less limited time to prepare after arriving in Southampton on Wednesday.

On the other side, their rival team for the finals, New Zealand is already engaged in a two-match series against England. Before arriving in Southampton, the Indian team was quarantined for 14 days in Mumbai and is currently in the middle of another quarantine for three days. As the spinner, Axar Patel said in the video posted by the Indian Cricket team that he had a nice sleep journey and the plan is to quarantine. The team have been told that they aren’t allowed to meet each other for three days so the team will be quarantining for that much time.

Both the men’s and women’s Indian cricket teams were on the same flight. After they landed in London, both the contingent took two separate bus journeys to Southampton. Indian men’s team will play five Test against England after the WTC final and on the other hand, the women’s team are scheduled to play one-off Test, three ODIs and T20Is against England women’s team starting from 16th June.
