Indian envoy Taranjit Singh Sandhu ‘heckled’ by pro-Khalistan group at US gurdwara; Watch

Indian Ambassador to the United States Taranjit Singh Sandhu was heckled by Khalistani supporters during a visit to a gurdwara in New York, as per a video going viral on social media.

Several individuals can be seen confronting Ambassador Sandhu in the video, which was posted by BJP spokesperson RP Singh, with allegations regarding Khalistani terrorists Gurpatwant Singh Pannun and Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

“You are responsible for assassination of Nijjar. You plotted to kill Pannun,” the crowd shouted and alleged.

The incident happened on Sunday (US local time) as Sandhu was attending Gurpurab prayers at the Gurdwara in Hicksville, Long Island. After the confrontation, the Indian envoy was seen leaving the gurdwara while one protestor was spotted waving the Khalistani flag outside the premises.

In response to the video, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa called the hecklers “goons” and criticized their acts.

Posting a purported video on X, Bharatiya Janata Party national spokesperson RP Singh penned, “Khalistanies tried to heckle Indian Ambassador @SandhuTaranjitS with basless Questions for his role in the failed plot to assassinate Gurpatwant, (SFJ) and Khalistan Referendum campaign.”

“Himmat Singh who led the pro Khalistanies at Hicksville Gurdwara in New York also accused ambassador Sandhu for India’s role in the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was President of Surrey Gurdwara and the coordinator for Canadian Chapter of the Khalistan Referendum,” Singh added.
