Nirmala Sitharaman – Finance minister of India can announce a 3 trillion electricity distribution reform project to cut down on losses in the next year Union Budget. The project is aimed to help power distribution companies to cut down there losses to 12-15% by March 2025. It will also help in improving the reliability and quality of power supply.
The government is expected to contribute Rs. 60,000 crore in this scheme and rest can be loaned from various financial agencies like Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the World Bank.
