Indian Oil to buy 15 buses that run on hydrogen fuel

Indian Oil Corporation has planned to buy 15 buses that will run on hydrogen fuel, to give a step up on the need of the hour -a hydrogen based mode of transportation. The Indian Oil Corporation is one of the largest oil refinery in India and it plans to set up a R&D department in its Faridabad facility to produce hydrogen to run the buses.

IOC has been inviting bids for the procurement of 15 polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell buses which have fewer pollutants & less noise pollution.
