India’s Leopard population increased by 60%

The population of leopards has increased by 60%, stated a government report. Environment Minister Prakash Jadvedkar tweeted about the rise in leopard population and now India has 12,852 leopards. Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra have recorded the highest estimates with their number being 3421, 1783 and 1690 respectively.
