On June 7, Indian IT company Infosys announced a collaboration with US-based Archrock Inc. to “integrate digital technologies and mobile tools for its field service technicians.”
Eric Thode, Archrock’s Senior Vice-President (Operations) says, “Our collaboration with Infosys is a part of a multi-year technology project to further enhance the value proposition to our customers, more effectively manage our assets, reduce our emissions footprint and yield attractive value for our shareholders.” He added the two major objectives of the digital transformation is to improve their customers’ experiences and make the jobs of the field employees easier.
Infosys, in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges stated that the company is “the global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting.” It referred to Archrock Inc. as “the leading provider of natural gas compression services in the USA.”
According to The Economic Times, as a part of this engagement, Infosys would leverage its pre-configured accelerator for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service Application to streamline and build up the efficiencies of Archrock field services along with operations.
IT major Infosys has also stated that it would implement the field services platform consolidated with backend enterprise resource planning systems.
“We are delighted to collaborate with Archrock in their field service transformation journey. With deep knowledge of the energy industry, technical expertise, and a strong relationship with Microsoft, we are confident of creating significant business value together in this journey with Archrock.”
Business Today reported the rise of 2% in the shares of Infosys on BSE after it announced its collaboration with Archrock.
