Infosys strengthens its talent by recruiting 19,230 graduates in India

Nandan Nilekani the chairman of Infosys Chairman Saturday announced that the IT major has advanced to strengthen its talent pool by hiring 19,230 graduates in India and 1,941 in other countries to serve its clients’ expanding market for digital acceleration. In addition to that Nandan Nilekani also mentioned that “we expanded our US hiring commitment to 25,000 by 2022 with an additional 12,000 new American jobs across a variety of roles.” He also mentioned their continued expansion into Canada and said that “As part of our continued expansion into Canada, we also committed to double Infosys’ Canadian workforce to 4,000 employees by 2023. In the UK, we announced plans to create 1,000 digital jobs to fuel post-pandemic growth.”

Nilekani mentioned at the company’s 40th annual general meeting that Infosys is in a good position for the upcoming year of “market-leading performance” in the post-pandemic, cloud-first digital era. He said that over the period of the last three and a half years, Infosys has developed a profoundly trustworthy market position for itself as a global digital services and consulting provider of selection for enterprises.

Nilekani highlighted the fact that the company has expanded its financial commitment with regards to COVID-19 relief to Rs 200 crore in an effort to support the community efforts in the country. In addition to that, the company has set up vaccination centers in India for employees and their families at their campuses and COVID-19 care centers across locations. They have also collaborated with hospitals and ambulance services tried to facilitate oxygen and medicines and extended employee support.
