Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has cleared to take his name from the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) as he wants to support his family to fight against COVID-19.
This season he is playing for the Delhi Capitals Franchise in the IPL. He also confirmed if things will be in the right direction, he’ll back again.
On Sunday night, Ashwin posted on Twitter, “I would be taking a break from this years IPL from tomorrow. My family and extended family are putting up a fight against COVID19 and I want to support them during these tough times. I expect to return to play if things go in the right direction. Thank you Delhi Capitals”
