Chennai Super Kings won the toss and decide to bat first at the Wankhede. Openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis gave a strong start to the team scoring 51 in the first six overs. It was Raina who stepped out for the second wicket after Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed Gaikward for 33.
Raina was lucky on the very first ball from getting run out. However, Smashed a couple of boundaries including his 200th six off Chahal’s weak delivery. He is currently the second-highest run-scorer in IPL after Virat Kohli (6021*). Raina has an impressive strike rate of 137 and has scored the most runs for Chennai in IPL throughout.
