He has hit 31 half-centuries and six centuries, missing his 7th in 2019 by a single run. Gayle holds the record of maximum sixes hit overall seasons with a mind-blowing number of 349.
He has smacked 349 sixes (132 matches) in IPL, most by any players in the tournament. AB De Villiers is the second-best with 235 sixes in 169 matches. He would be the first batsmen to hit 350 sixes, if he hits a single six in today’s match between the Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings.
