IPL 2021: Chris Lynn, Jimmy Neesham among the top names in demand after MI’s defeat

After back-to-back defeats and horrendous performances with the bat by reigning champions Mumbai Indians as they haven’t able to score more than 150 once in the 5 matches they played this season, their fan base went berserk as they demand to replace the established out of form players.

Top of the list is South African captain and wicket-keeper, Quinton De Kock, as he has only managed to score 47 runs in the 4 innings he has played averaging below 12 and scoring well below the strike rate of 100. Fans are demanding him to be replaced with the Aussie opener Chris Lynn who top-scored for Mumbai in the first game with 49 but had to be dropped to make place for the Protean Southpaw.

Second, on the list is swashbuckling all-rounder Hardik Pandya who has had the worst start to his tournament ever. Due to a slight shoulder injury, he isn’t providing any services with the ball, and playing as the pure batsman he has just scored 36 runs in the 5 matches they played averaging a devastating 7.25 runs a game and striking them at 97.

With no contributions with the bat and ball from their star players, Mumbai need to make changes and fans want Jimmy Neesham, as the Kiwi promises with both bat and ball and will be a valid replacement for the Pandya brothers coupling with Piyush Chawla.
