IPL 2021: Faf Du Plessis wins Orange Cap against SRH

Faf Du Plessis after scoring back to back fifties in three consecutive games races to the top of the chart ahead of Shikhar Dhawan for the Orange Cap this season.

Faf Du Plessis scored 56 off 38 balls against SRH and with this innings he surpassed the previous Orange Cap holder Shikhar Dhawan by five runs. Faf has scored 270 runs with an impressive strike rate of 140. He averages at 67.50 this season and he has 3 consecutive fifties now one of which was a 95 not out against KKR.

Faf is showing some incredible form and is the main reason for CSK to top the table this season after their horrific performances last season. He was very happy to win the Orange Cap and had this to say in the post-match ceremony.

“Feels good (to wear the orange cap) but winning games is nice. I think the partnership with myself and Rutu has been pretty productive. “- Faf du Plessis in post match presentation.
