Jos Buttler who was playing like a dream against Chennai Super Kings at the start and was on his way to chase what in the end proved out to be a massive score of 189. But his unbelievable batting might just have cost Rajasthan the match. Wonder how?
Well in the 10th over Jos Buttler in his full flow hit Jadeja for a massive six over cow corner off a no-ball. The ball went so far in the stands that a new one had to be brought up. This scenario changed the game as a new drier ball came to play in a very dew-friendly condition. As the old wet ball was coming easily on the bat the required run rate of 10 was looking manageable as shot-making was easy.
As soon as the drier ball came we could hear Dhoni shouting from behind that this one will turn so bowl slow to Jadeja, and it did just that the ball gripped and turned and came slowly from the wicket which made shotmaking very difficult for Rajasthan Royals and Chennai spinners came to their own as Jadeja and Moeen picked up 5 wickets between them in space of 4 overs and the match was long gone for Royals after that.
Harsha Bhogle the renowned commentator and cricket expert took notice of this and mentioned it in an interesting tweet.
Amazing how what seems to be a good result can go against you. #RR were looking good at 79-2 in the 10th when Buttler hit Jadeja for 6. It meant the ball had to be changed and the drier ball caused havoc with Moeen and Jadeja.
