This season of VIVO IPL has already seen far too many dropped catches most of them by Indian fielders. On Sunday again the poor display of fielding by Indian fielders was on display as they let through an easy catch by Eion Morgan against RCB which was let go by Yuzi Chahal and Mohd. Siraj as both of them had a miscommunication and didn’t even attempt to catch a ball that was in the air for a very long time.
The catch though didn’t prove that costly as Morgan got out the very next ball. A similar incident happened to PBKS against RR as Mohd. Shami and KL Rahul collided taking a catch which eventually was held on by Shami but this does show that Indian fielders need to work more on their basics in fielding and call for in-between catches to reduce the chance of miscommunications and dropping such catches as well as avoiding injuries.
That dropped catch hasn't cost much!
Harshal with a brilliant slower one! Morgan chips it to his opposite number 🤩 #PlayBold #WeAreChallengers #IPL2021 #DareToDream #RCBvKKR pic.twitter.com/PeWth4bLgX
