IPL 2021: Jason Behrendorff replaces Josh Hazelwood in the CSK squad

Jason Behrendorff is set to join Chennai Super Kings squad after Josh Hazelwood opted out of the tournament this month

Jason Behrendorff, the Australian left arm seamer is set to join Chennai Super Kings squad after Josh Hazelwood opted out of the tournament this month.

Jason, who played for Mumbai Indians  in the 2019 season, played 5 matches and picked as much wickets for the mumbai squad.

However, he wasn’t seen in the 2020 season due to an injury but after being unsold in the 2021 auction, he was finally picked up by Chennai Super Kings.

Hazelwood mentioned that he wanted to take time off from this cash-fuelled league which will be starting on 9th April to 30th May, he decided to spend some time with his family back in Australia.

He will be playing with the Australian squad in the upcoming season in the West Indies tour, Bangladesh (T20) and the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Chennai Super Kings will be starting their campaign against Delhi Capitals, last years runner ups, on 10 April in Mumbai.
