IPL 2021: Jhye Richardson playing online games to tackle quarantine

Richardson will be playing his debut IPL season for Punjab Kings. He will also play his first IPL tournament. He was bought by Punjab Kings in IPL 2021 for INR 14 crore. Richardson, an Australian pacer, was the highest wicket-taker in BBL 2020-21. Punjab Kings were short of pacers in the team and they went for Richardson to strengthen their bowling department.

Jhye Richardson, Australian pacer can be seen enjoying pre-match quarantine by playing online games.

 

For IPL 2021, Punjab Kings bought 5 overseas players and 3 domestic players. Punjab Kings will witness a lot of changes in IPL 2021 as they have spent a huge amount to buy several new players in the team.

This year Punjab Kings released 9 players  after the team’s poor performance in IPL 2020. Punjab Kings released Glenn Maxwell, Sheldon Cottrell, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Hardus Viljoen, James Neesham, Krishnappa Gowtham, Karun Nair, Jagadeesha Suchith, and Tejinder Singh Dhillon from the squad.
