Mayank Agarwal surprised the Sunday crowd at the Wankhede Stadium when he scored a magnificent half-century of just 25 balls against Delhi Capitals. Agarwal ended up with a score of 69 off just 36 balls at an astonishing strike rate of 191.66. With this he tops the Dream 11.
This was Agarwal’s fastest IPL fifty and took the wind out of the sails of the opposing team. No type of bowling was safe against him as he treated even leading bowlers like Ravichandran Ashwin and Kagiso Rabada with contempt.

Opener KL Rahul supported him as a partner and he got his half-century after his partner’s dismissal. Mayank Agarwal smashed seven fours and two sixes to reach the half-century mark while Rahul had six fours and one six.
Earlier, Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to bowl first. Chris Woakes bowled well again at the beginning but didn’t get much support. Lukman Meriwala, making his IPL debut, suffered the brunt of the attack from the two Karnataka openers playing for Punjab Kings and went for 28 in his first two overs.
