IPL 2021: MI skipper Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya heap praises Pollard after a nail-biting win against CSK

It was all smiles for Mumbai Indians after the epic win against the CSK, Pollard being the man at the brink

Kieron Pollard unleashed a fury against CSK while chasing a humongous target of 219 at the Arun Jhetaley Stadium, Delhi. He scored an explosive 87 off 34 deliveries including six fours and eight massive sixes. Pollard played with a destructive strike rate of 255.88. It was Faf du Plessis dropping the big man’s catch on 68 which cost the men in yellow the game.

However, Mumbai had a historic win by becoming the second team to chase such a big total in the history of IPL. Skipper Rohit Sharma looked Amused by what he spectated the night. Sharma clearly stated it was the best T20 chase he has ever been a part of.

“One of the best T20 games I have ever been a part of. I have never seen a chase like that before. One of the best innings also, by Polly (Pollard).” said Sharma.

Mumbai’s All-rounder Hardik Pandya was also awed by Pollard’s show on the field. He was seen running to Pollard and hugging him the first after the win.

“After winning this kind of game, you have got to be pumped for the rest of the night. When he (Pollard) does something like this, you’re genuinely speechless”, said Hardik.

Pollard has been one of the biggest assets Mumbai has ever produced for itself. Pollard made his debut in 2010 and has strived for MI’s success ever since. Pollard has so far scored more than 3000 IPL runs including 16 fifties with a volcanic strike rate of 150.87. He has also delivered Mumbai with 63 wickets and some brilliant fielding scenarios through the years.
