Deepak Chahar ran through the Punjab top order in the powerplay overs on Friday night on a bouncy Wankhede wicket.
Chennai got an early breakthrough on the very first over, Deepak Chahar disturbed the timber on the fourth ball of the first over getting Mayank Aggarwal bowled through bat and pad for a duck. In his next over Jadeja produced a blinder of a run out through his direct hit to dismiss the skipper KL Rahul. In Chahars next over he got the leading edge of Universe Boss Chris Gayle to loop through the point region to which Jadeja again came to the party by catching a difficult ball diving forward.
Two balls later he bounced Nicholas Pooran who tried to hook Chahar out of the stadium only managing to hit as far as the deep fine leg and got caught by Shardul Thakur.
Punjab Kings ended the powerplay with abysmal figures of 26-4 in 6 overs courtesy of Deepak Chahar who ended the powerplay with at 3-13 in overs and eventually ending his spell at similar figures bowling his fourth over and a maiden.
