Prithvi Shaw has just scored the fastest fifty of the 2021 IPL season. Shaw absolutely reigned over Shivam Mavi in the first over, scoring 6 boundaries (25 runs). The over helped him reach the 50 mark in just 18 balls.
The current fastest half-century in IPL 2021 season was by Andre Russel in 21 balls, followed by Pat Cummins in 23, both of KKR, the team playing against DC.
The record since the start is by Yusuf Pathan and Sunil Narine, when they scored a half-century in 15 balls respectively. Surprisingly, both of them played for KKR as well.
There is no stopping Shaw today, as it seems like DC are going to ease past KKR too reach 10 points, tying with CSK and RCB on the table.
