IPL 2021: RCB set to wear blue jersey for an upcoming match to support COVID-19 Frontline workers

On Sunday, Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli announced his team would wear a blue jersey for an upcoming match to support COVID frontline workers.

On Sunday, Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli announced his team would wear a blue jersey for an upcoming match to support COVID frontline workers. RCB has spent the last year wearing PPE kits while leading the fight against the pandemic. RCB will also provide financial support to India’s healthcare infrastructure.

In a video released by RCB, Virat Kohli said that he is aware of the situation happening in India after the spread of  COVID-19. Over the past week, RCB has focussed that how can they help at the ground level and assist frontline workers in this bad situation.

He added, “Royal Challengers Bengaluru has pointed the key areas in which immediate help is needed in healthcare infrastructure like Oxygen support and will be making a financial contribution regarding this need. RCB is going to wear a special blue jersey in one of the upcoming matches with key messaging on our match equipment and kits to pay respect and show support to our frontline workers who have spent the majority of last year wearing PPE kits and leading the fight against the pandemic. RCb will also raise funds after auctioning jerseys of all signed players from this game. And will add a financial contribution to support healthcare infrastructure.”
