Daniel Sams has been tested positive on 7th April and is currently taking all precautionary measures as per the guidelines set out by the BCCI. He joined the camp on the 3rd of April, 2021 in Chennai with a negative Report. However, he was tested positive in his second test. He is said to be asymptomatic and is currently in isolation.
Official Statement: Daniel Sams checked into the team hotel in Chennai on April 3rd, with a negative COVID report on arrival. His report from the 2nd test on 7th April came positive. Sams is currently asymptomatic and he is currently in isolation at a designated medical facility.

Daniel Sams was one of the players who was transferred to RCB from Delhi Capitals in the transfer window which was held in January 2021.
RCB is playing their first match of the season on April 9, 2021, against Mumbai Indians in Chennai.
