On Wednesday, New Zealand’s former pacer Simon Doull and also a member of the English Commentary panel in IPL took to Twitter to bid an emotional farewell to India.
As per the latest report from BCCI, the Indian Premier League 2021 has been suspended indefinitely due to a rapid increase in the number of COVID-19 positive cases among the players of different IPL franchises. To safeguard the health of players and supporting staff, this decision had been taken.
Simon prayed for India before bidding farewell, he wrote on his Twitter handle, “Dear India, You have given me so much over so many years and I am sorry to be leaving you in such trying times. To those who are suffering my heart go’s out to you and your families. Please do what you can to stay safe. Until next time take care. #india #cricket #love.”
