Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday filed their first win of the season by defeating Punjab Kings by a heavy margin of 9 wickets. SRH not only registered their first win but also elevated in the points table.
While the victory celebration was happening, Hyderabad’s star spinner Rashid Khan hosted the young gun, Abhishek Sharma, with a quick interview. Sharma was asked about his experience on bowling the first over of the powerplay. On this, Sharma replied sportingly about how he once rechecked it with his skipper David Warner.
“When we made the hurdle before Punjab’s inning started, Warner told me to bowl the first over. I was confused myself, so I had to ask him again just to confirm whether it’s really me or I am being actually mistaken.” Sharma responded.
Abhishek Sharma bowled a spell of four overs conceding just 24 runs and two crucial wickets of Deepak Hooda (13) and Moises Henriques (14). Eventually, SRH bowled out Punjab for 120 claiming a swift win by nine wickets.
