On the 16th match of VIVO IPL RCB were up against Rajasthan Royals on a flat Wankhede wicket.
After restricting Rajasthan Royals to a sub-par score of 177 on an absolute road the chase was on for RCB. They started well as Kohli opened his tally with a six of Shreyas Gopal on the 4th ball of the innings. RCB saw off the first two overs knowing as time passes dew will play an important role in the game and batting will become easy.
In the third over Padikkal made a move on and never looked back. Kohli and Padikkal alone chased down the target with superb fluency and absolute class. In a chance less partnership, we saw some of the most classy shots and the best timers of the ball at the display as both Padikkal and Kohli thrashed helpless Rajasthan bowling and bought up the target with 21 balls to spare without even losing a single wicket. Padikkal was the front runner as he brought up his maiden IPL century in 51 balls and Virat bought his 40th IPL fifty on course to his magnificent innings of 72 in 47 balls.
