In a revised statement released on July 27, the Metropolitan Police said they received a call at 11:18 a.m. on July 26 reporting a “unresponsive woman” at a residence in the Herne Hill neighbourhood of south London. Even though the death was not “treated as suspicious,” the cause of death is still unknown. Officers attended, according to the statement. At the scene, the 56 year old singer was declared deceased. The heirs have been informed. The cause of death is not being investigated further. The coroner will receive a file in due course.
