Kanye West is once again at the center of controversy following a series of disturbing posts on X over the weekend, leading to the deactivation of his account. Adding to the chaos, an account claiming to belong to his wife, Bianca Censori, surfaced with a verified blue checkmark and shared a post allegedly expressing concern over Ye’s behavior. However, a representative for the couple has now confirmed that the account is fake and that efforts are underway to have it removed.
The now-debunked post circulated widely, appearing to call for “protection and guidance” for Ye amid his antisemitic remarks. A rep for the couple told Billboard on Sunday (Feb. 9) that they had contacted X to have the fraudulent account unverified or banned.
Meanwhile, Ye’s own X account has been deactivated after a string of alarming posts, including praise for Hitler, a swastika-themed T-shirt design he called his “greatest performance art piece,” and autoplaying pornographic videos that remained on his feed for hours. He also made cryptic remarks about Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently in jail awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
The controversy follows Ye and Censori’s eyebrow-raising appearance at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 2, where she wore an almost completely sheer dress. Ye later described it as a “Custom Couture Grammy dress for the most beautiful woman ever.” Days later, he claimed they had “beat” the Grammys and boasted that Censori was the “most Googled person on the planet.”
With Ye’s X account now inactive and the fraudulent Censori account exposed, questions linger about his online presence and future public appearances. Fans and critics alike continue to watch closely as the situation unfolds.
