Is Euphoria Season 3 releasing this year? Here’s what we know!

The When Euphoria’s second season finished in early 2022, we yearned for more of the exhilarating TV show. As Zendaya guides a band of dysfunctional, disruptive kids through the ups and downs of adolescence in this elite drama series, Euphoria High’s chaotic world has us completely captivated.

Over the course of the last two seasons of Euphoria, we have been taken on a relentless, tension-filled ride that has included Rue’s ongoing drug addiction battle, Jules’ tumultuous gender transitioning journey, Fez and Ashtray’s run-in with the law, and the incredible love triangle between Nate, Maddy, and Cassie. And that’s not even accounting for Lexi’s outstanding play!

There will undoubtedly be a tonne more drama for our favorite young offenders in the future, but when will Euphoria season 3 be released? When we reunite with the group, who will be dating who? Which characters from Euphoria are returning for more episodes, and who is likely to be a high school dropout?

Euphoria Season 3 Plot

Again, we haven’t received any clear explanations as to what to anticipate from Euphoria season 3, but if Rue’s narration is any indication—she mentions “staying clean for the rest of the school year”—we can probably anticipate a time jump between the conclusion of season 2 and where season 3 picks up.

According to Zendaya’s remarks in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, which she made, that looks to be true. “I think it’ll be exciting to explore the characters out of high school. I want to see what Rue looks like in her sobriety journey, how chaotic that might look.”

First and foremost, we want to know what the hell happened to Fez. The last time we saw the sweet drug dealer, he was lying in his hallway, protecting himself from the SWAT squad and Ashtray’s battle. While Ashtray is very certainly dead as a result of his irrational fury, Fez is almost certainly going to prison since he accepted responsibility for Ashtray’s death of Custer.

Since Cal Jacobs’ son Nate turned him into the police for his years of sexual misconduct, we can say with certainty that he will serve time in prison. However, what is Nate up to?

Euphoria Season 3 Release Date

Since we don’t yet know the exact release date for Euphoria season 3, we can only guess that it won’t hit our screens until early 2024, most likely in January, based on the timeline of the previous seasons.

While Euphoria season 3 has been given the official go-ahead, as announced by the official Euphoria Twitter account, there has been no official word on when we can expect to see the program make a comeback on our televisions or any indication that production has begun.

If we go back, season 1 debuted in August 2019, then season 2 wasn’t released until January 2022. Naturally, we did receive a few special episodes around that period, and a worldwide epidemic slowed down production.

Euphoria season 3 won’t be released until 2024 if we were to speculate based on current information. We had hoped Sam Levinson would treat us to a few more special episodes in the meantime, but Casey Bloys, Chief Content Officer at HBO, says that’s not the current plan.
