Is Gal Gadot really resuming as Wonder Woman in DCU?

Gal Gadot will return as Diana Prince in Wonder Woman 3, which will be directed by James Gunn and Peter Safran and produced by DC Studios.

Gadot’s chances of succeeding Patty Jenkins as Wonder Woman appeared to be extremely slim when the filmmaker allegedly quit the project, though Jenkins later refuted this. Under the direction of James Gunn and Peter Safran, the DC Cinematic Universe is evolving, but it seems like Gal Gadot will continue to be involved with Wonder Woman’s future. Gadot made her film debut in 2016’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, as Diana Prince.

Later, she starred in Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman and its 2020 prequel, Wonder Woman 1984, and made an appearance in Justice League (as well as the director’s cut totally directed by Zack Snyder). Following Gunn and Safran’s appointment as co-heads of Warner Bros.’ rebuilt DC Studios, Patty Jenkins’ comeback for Wonder Woman 3 was shelved. Gadot’s status as Wonder Woman was therefore under question. When she briefly appeared in Shazam!, things got more complex. The Gods’ fury.

Gadot informed Chris Killian of ComicBook.com that, as far as she is aware, she will collaborate on Wonder Woman 3 with Gunn and Safran. “I love playing Wonder Woman; it’s very important to me,” Gadot said. We’re going to collaborate on Wonder Woman 3 from what James and Peter have told me.
