After several delays, Spider-Man: No Way Home has already swung into theatres. Spidey (Tom Holland) has now faced the dangers of the boundless multiverse and fought a number of dangerous foes. But unavoidably, rabid fans have already begun to speculate as to if and when Wallcrawler from the Marvel Cinematic Universe would make a comeback.
To be honest, before No Way Home ever came out, both fans and critics were unclear if Tom Holland’s Spider-Man would make one more appearance. Despite the fact that Spidey may be scarred and battered after his final big-screen appearance, comments from the cast and crew indicate that he is still very much alive.
While nothing has been officially announced, we can’t imagine Sony and Disney, who have been laying the groundwork for more Spider-Man films, not producing more action films starring Tom Holland as the Friendly Neighbor Spider-Man.
Spider-Man 4 Plot
We anticipate that the movie will continue where No Way Home left off following the dramatic events and that moment after the credits, but you never know.
Holland is one person who knows where the series may go next. He recently disclosed to Fandom that he had presented a potential fourth Spider-Man movie to Sony but will not provide any further information out of respect for No Way Home.
“There is one idea that I have pitched to the studio, he explained. “But by telling you that idea, I’d be ruining [No Way Home], so I’m going to have to keep that one for myself.”
When asked about potential Spider-Man foes he’d like to face off against in the interview, he named Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin and Madame Web, which is really intriguing because she’s not often a villain.
After making an appearance in Hawkeye, Vincent D’Onofrio, who is now considered canon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has expressed a desire to play the web-slinger.
Numerous rumors have also been spread about Jacob Batalon’s Ned Leeds. Several media have inquired as to whether he’ll portray the Marvel bad guy Hobgoblin in a future Spidey film, but in an interview with Variety, he declined to comment.
Spider-Man 4 Cast
Again, nothing has been officially confirmed, but there have been recent rumors that Marvel and Sony are eager to bring back the successful crew behind the original trilogy. That necessitates the return of Jon Watts, Zendaya, and Holland.
Holland was even referred to as having all the qualities Sony was searching for in a Peter Parker in Pascal’s prior jokes with GQ, in which she claimed she wanted to produce hundreds more Spider-Men movies with Holland.
Though he previously told Fandom he wasn’t ruling anything out, Holland has been a little reticent to address if he’ll return to the franchise for fear of ruining No Way Home.
Spider-Man 4 Release date
There is no set release date for Spider-Man 4 because it hasn’t received formal approval yet. At Marvel’s San Diego Comic-Con event, it wasn’t even mentioned. Even so, Amy Pascal, one of the producers on Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy, has stated they want to make more movies, despite her inconsistent stance on the subject.
