Is the Motorola Razr 50D launching on December 19?

Next week, the Motorola Razr 50D will be available in Japan. Although Motorola has not commented on the new foldable phone’s debut, a launch microsite that includes the date, price, and specifications has gone online on the website of Japanese mobile provider NTT Docomo.

The phone’s design and colour options are also confirmed by the listing. The Motorola Razr 50D and the standard Razr 50 that is sold in India seem to have comparable designs. The clamshell foldable phone has a 3.6-inch cover screen and a 6.9-inch inside display.

The Motorola Razr 50D’s launch date, price, pre-order information, and some of its features are listed on the NTT Docomo website. According to the ad, the phone would retail for JPY 1,14,950 (about Rs. 65,000) when it launches on December 19. A monthly installment payment of JPY 2,587 (about Rs. 1,500) is required to purchase it.

Beginning on December 17, users will be able to pre-purchase the device, which is now available for pre-reservations. According to the listing, the Motorola Razr 50D would be offered in a White Marble finish. The Razr 50 and the clamshell-foldable share a similar design with rounded sides. It seems like a Docomo-only version of the standard Motorola Razr 50.

In September of this year, the regular Motorola Razr 50 was released in India. It cost Rs. 64,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option. The Motorola Razr 50D dual SIM (nano+eSIM) device includes a 3.6-inch exterior screen and a 6.9-inch full-HD+ pOLED inside display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, according to the listing.

Its optics include a 13-megapixel secondary sensor and a 50-megapixel primary rear camera. It also features a 32-megapixel selfie camera. A 4,000mAh battery and a single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage combination are stated for the Motorola Razr 50D. It features stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos and a water-repellent construction with an IPX8 rating.

The phone weighs 187g and has dimensions of 171x74x7.3mm. The Motorola Razr 50 variant, which debuted in India, has a 3.63-inch cover display and a 6.9-inch internal screen.

Its dual back camera unit consists of a 13-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera and a 50-megapixel main sensor. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X SoC. It has a 32-megapixel camera on the inside display for video conversations and selfies. This device features a 4,200mAh battery and is IPX8 rated.
