The TV show, which is based on Gaiman’s similarly named comic book series, depicts the tale of dream, the personification of dreams and imagination. Dream, who has been imprisoned for aeons, is released into the world and must use all of his efforts to bring order to the chaos that appears to have engulfed it during his absence.

We thoroughly enjoyed the first season of Sandman and are looking forward to its continuation. We have thus done some research about what may happen to Dream in the future to fill the yawning time gap. Thus, we searched the internet and Gaiman’s books for hints; spoilers follow. Here is all the information you require about The Sandman season 2.

Sandman Season 2 Plot

Gaiman’s comic series’ first two novels served as the basis for the first season of Sandman. As a result, you may assume that the second season of the Netflix series will be based on the two books that come after it, Dream Country and Season of Mists, but there’s a small catch.

The Sandman’s extra episode, which aired on August 19, 2022, largely chronicled the events of Dream Country. In light of this, we believe it is more probable that Season of Mists and A Game of You will be followed by Season 2.

The primary plot of Season of Mists has already been established. In the book, Dream goes back to Hell to free Nada, the woman we saw imprisoned there, but finds that Lucifer has neglected their duties.

Barbie, Rose’s former roommate, goes across the Dreaming in A Game of You to deal with a strong creature known as the Cuckoo who encounters Dream on the route.

Gaiman’s recent remarks appear to suggest that we will also get to meet more of Dream’s siblings. He stated in a recent interview with Comicbook.com that he is looking forward to Delerium’s arrival in the program since writing her is a pleasure.

Sandman Season 2 Cast

In the second season, we anticipate that many of the varied dreams, nightmares, and Endless will return. If Sandman is renewed, Tom Sturridge, who portrays Dream, as well as the other members of his court (Vivienne Acheampong, Asim Chaudhry, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Patton Oswalt, Mark Hamill, etc.), would undoubtedly return. Sadly, Boyd Holbrook’s Corinthian won’t be returning, at least not this season.

The Sandman season 2 cast

  • Tom Sturridge as Dream:
  • Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer Morningstar
  • Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne
  • Asim Chaudhry as Abel
  • Sanjeev Bhaskar as Cain
  • Patton Oswalt as Matthew the Raven
  • Mark Hamill as Mervy
  • Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death
  • Mason Alexander Park as Desire
  • Donna Preston as Despair
  • Lenny Henry as Martin Tenbone

Sandman Season 2 Release Date

Netflix has not yet disclosed the release date for Sandman season 2 as of December. It’s not all bad news, though; according to the authors, they’ve already begun writing the scripts for a second season if the horror series is renewed, and things are going well. Netflix has confirmed a second series is in progress.
