Tom Holland is charting an exciting career trajectory, with big projects on the horizon, including a role in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey, where he’ll share the screen with Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, and Zendaya, his co-star from the Spider-Man franchise. However, despite all the buzz around his professional life, Holland has revealed that he plans to retire from acting once he becomes a father. In an interview with Men’s Health, the 27-year-old actor shared that his focus will shift to family, saying, “When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore. Golf and Dad. And I will just disappear off the face of the earth.”
Holland, who has been dating Zendaya since 2021, has kept their personal life private but is open about their professional collaboration. Reflecting on their working dynamic in The Odyssey, Holland expressed how having Zendaya on set is a comforting presence. He joked about their setup, saying, “Studios love it. One hotel room. Separate drivers. We’re not crazy now. Listen, it’s work, alright?” On a more serious note, he shared that working with Zendaya has been a “saving grace” for him.
Zendaya, in turn, praised Holland’s dedication, describing how he always gives his best even when he’s worn out. She acknowledged how their professional chemistry feels natural, noting that it’s reminiscent of how they first met during a chemistry read for Spider-Man.
The Odyssey, featuring both Holland and Zendaya, is slated for release in July 2026, marking another milestone in their careers.
