Janhvi Kapoor raises AI concerns at Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari trailer launch; Varun Dhawan’s joke draws criticism

Janhvi Kapoor’s remarks on AI misuse at the trailer launch of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari were interrupted by Varun Dhawan, sparking backlash from netizens who felt her concerns deserved more attention.

At the trailer launch of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Janhvi Kapoor spoke openly about the growing misuse of artificial intelligence and how it impacts celebrities. She explained that fake AI-generated images of her are frequently shared online, and while some people may recognize them as artificial, many assume they are real.

“When I see on social media, there are so many AI images being circulated against my will. You and I can say it’s an AI image, but the common man will think, ‘Yeh toh yeh pehen ke pohonch gayi.’ I don’t know what the protocol is for this,” Janhvi said, voicing her concern.

Before she could continue, Varun Dhawan interrupted with a lighthearted remark aimed at director Shashank Khaitan, saying, “There is no AI na in this film, Shashank?” His attempt at humor diverted the attention from Janhvi’s point, and the moment did not go unnoticed by the audience.

A clip of the exchange soon appeared on X, where fans criticized Varun for dismissing an important issue. One user wrote, “Janhvi’s raising awareness on an issue that’s so serious while Varun’s chasing clout.” Another commented, “It’s so disrespectful if she is talking on a serious topic why he interrupted her.” Many felt Janhvi’s frustration was justified and called for more respect when addressing such sensitive topics.
