Actor Janhvi Kapoor has opened up about the quirky excuses she makes to escape unwanted attention. While promoting her latest film Param Sundari with co-star Sidharth Malhotra on IMDb’s original series Speed Dating, Janhvi revealed that she sometimes introduces herself as married just to avoid being flirted with.
Sharing one such instance, Janhvi said, “I’ve said I’m married a lot. Someone coming up to me in person has mostly been outside of India. A lot of waiters in LA would send me their phone number or get me something I didn’t order. I was with Orry once and said he’s my husband.” Her lighthearted confession quickly caught attention, with fans amused at her clever way of handling awkward situations.
Janhvi, who is currently dating Shikhar Pahariya, also spoke about her dealbreakers on a first date. She said that punctuality and sincerity matter the most to her. “They shouldn’t show up late, in fact they should show up early. They should seem nervous. Intangible and emotional gestures mean a lot more to me than materialistic things.”
Reflecting on the most romantic gesture she has received, Janhvi recalled how someone once traveled all the way from London to Mumbai just to spend five hours with her when she was upset after a bad dream.Currently, Janhvi stars in Param Sundari, a romantic comedy directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Maddock Films, which hit theatres on August 29.
