In a surprising development in the Jani Master sexual harassment case, his nephew Shameer has filed a complaint against the female colleague who initially accused the renowned choreographer. Jani Master, famous for his work in films like Pushpa, was arrested for allegedly harassing his 21-year-old colleague over several years.
Shameer’s complaint, filed with the Hyderabad police, accuses the same woman of sexually harassing him while accompanying Jani Master to shoots in Hyderabad and Mumbai. According to a report by M9 News, Shameer claims that the harassment took place in restrooms, lifts, and hotels. Notably, as Shameer is a minor, he has requested the authorities to file charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
Meanwhile, Jani Master was recently granted conditional bail to attend the National Film Awards ceremony from October 6 to October 10. However, as per the Deccan Chronicle, his National Award for Megham Karukkatha from Thiruchitrambalam has been suspended by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Following this, the Narsingi police of Cyberabad submitted a petition to cancel Jani Master’s interim bail.
Jani Master was previously arrested in Goa and remanded to 14 days of judicial custody. The investigation revealed that he allegedly assaulted his colleague when she was a minor, leading to charges under POCSO and several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
