Jeff Bezos buys $68 million mansion for his soon-to-be bride in Florida’s ‘Billionaire Bunker’ island

The third richest man in the world and founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, reportedly spent $68 million for a mansion for his fiancée Lauren Sanchez in Florida’s exclusive “Billionaire Bunker” enclave.

According to the report, Bezos, who has a net worth of $163 billion, bought the three-bedroom, three-bathroom estate on Indian Creek Island in June in an off-market deal.

The purchase happened just a month after the former Amazon CEO proposed to Sanchez with a $2.5 million diamond ring.

The new home is located on a man-made barrier island with its own municipality, mayor, and police force. It also has celebrities like Tom Brady, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, Carl Icahn, and Julio Iglesias living there.

The 9,259-square-foot mansion, which was built in 1965, lies on 2.8 acres of land on the waterfront. Tulia Soucy de Gonzalez Gorrondona, a former hotelier and manager of MTM Star International Corp., a company with ties to  Panama, previously owned, according to Bloomberg.

The Amazon founder might not be satisfied with just one property on the island. According to Bloomberg, he is also looking to buy a neighbouring lot.

That parcel is on sale for $85 million, as per Homes.com.

The mansion, located at 12 Indian Creek Island Road, is even bigger than the one Bezos recently bought, with seven bedrooms and 14 bathrooms in 19,064 square feet of lavish space.
