Jennifer Lopez has stepped up to support the Los Angeles community in the wake of the ongoing wildfires. The 55-year-old actress recently made a generous donation to AList, a marketing agency in LA that has launched a grassroots fire relief organization. This group is working tirelessly to collect clothing and essentials to help families affected by the fires, and Lopez’s contribution has made a significant impact.
On January 15, AList shared on Instagram Stories that they had received a heartfelt note and an overwhelming amount of donations from Lopez. The agency expressed their gratitude, saying, “We got the most incredible, generous, beautiful note from Jennifer Lopez. We got the most incredible amount of stuff, the hugest amount of donations. So A) Oh my god, Jennifer Lopez, you’re amazing. B) People are asking how we’re doing. This is all incredibly grassroots.” They also tagged Lopez, expressing their thanks with the message, “Beyond grateful for your generous donation.”
The video shared by the agency outlined their ongoing relief efforts, which focus on helping communities in Pasadena and Altadena. The agency is collaborating with the LAUSD Education Foundation to provide resources to impacted families and district employees. They also plan to extend their support to neighboring districts to assist even more families in need.
Lopez was also thanked for her kind words, which deeply moved everyone at AList. The agency mentioned that her message was so touching it made them “cry.”
The wildfires in LA have been catastrophic, becoming the most destructive in the city’s history. Thousands of acres have been scorched, and many families have been displaced. Tragically, there have been 25 reported casualties from the blaze so far.
