J&K’s Pulwama attack: Top LeT commander among five militants killed in encounter

The security forces killed five militants of LeT, including their district commander Nishaz Lone, in an encounter. One army soldier was also injured during the encounter and later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.

On Friday a firing took place at the border of Taliban in J&K Pulwama district in which at least five militants of terror group Laskhar-e-Taiba, including their district commander Nishaz Lone, were killed by security forces during an encounter. One army soldier was also injured during the encounter and later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.

On Thursday evening an official said that, Security forces have launched a cordon and search operation at Hanjin village in Rajpora area of the district, following information about presence of militants there.

Later with this the officials also added that, An encounter broke out when the hiding militants fired at the security personnel during the search.

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that the operation went a big success. He mentioned that the district commander of LeT, Nishaz Lone, and one Pakistani terrorist was also identified among the terrorists killed by the security forces.

As per the related note it has been recorded that total of 61 terrorists have be killed in past six months. And on the yesterday’s attack security forces gunned down two terrorists yesterday at another encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
