Bollywood star, John Abraham took his Instagram handle to express his grief for the passing away of a young, Moto 3 rider, Jason Dupasquier. The 19-year-old MotoGP racer died after being injured in an accident during the Italian Grand Prix qualifying session.

It’s no secret that John Abraham is a huge bike enthusiast. The star has always been caught on his social media platforms for his automobile collection rather than his good-looks and hunky physicality for which he’s popularly known for. John, a subtle and low-profile Bollywood actor is often seen flaunting his love for bikes which only gives us way to believe that he was probably an avid Moto GP buff.

His Instagram post spells out the actors deep admiration for the young star who had an extremely bright future in the days to come. John offered his condolences, extending a sense of togetherness to Jason’s family, friends and team to be able to endure this difficult loss.

Dupasquier was evacuated to a Florence hospital on Saturday following a collision during Moto3 qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello. Dupasquier was treated on the track for almost 30 minutes before being flown.

The 19-year-old was involved in a collision toward the conclusion of the session with riders Ayumu Sasaki and Jeremy Alcoba, which was promptly red-flagged. Dupasquier looked to collapse and was subsequently struck by his own and Sasaki’s motorcycles, while a clearly stunned Alcoba subsequently said on TV that he felt he went over the teenage rider’s legs.

“Despite the best efforts of the circuit medical personnel and all those who afterwards attended to the Swiss rider, the hospital has reported that Dupasquier has regrettably succumbed to his injuries,” MotoGP stated.
