Johnny Depp to donate $1 million settlement from ex-wife Amber Heard to five non-profit organisations

The settlement money that Johnny Depp got from his ex-wife Amber Heard will be donated to charity. According to reports, the actor would donate $200,000 to each of the five organisations out of the $1 million settlement from Amber. He selected multiple kinds of organisations, from those that help sick children to others that provide safe housing for different communities.

According to a source quoted in a CNN report on Tuesday, Johnny Depp has decided to donate the settlement money to the Make-A-Film Foundation, The Painted Turtle, Red Feather, Marlon Brando’s Tetiaroa Society charity and the Amazonia Fund Alliance. As per the source, the actor intends to donate $200,000 to each of the five charities.

As per Entertainment Tonight, one of the charities chosen by Depp is Make-A-Film, which pairs actors, writers, directors and producers with children who are suffering from life-threatening or deadly illnesses. The Painted Turtle, the second charity, offers sick kids a free camp experience that may change their lives.

Red Feather, another nonprofit organisation, partners with  Indigenous communities to create and implement lasting housing solutions. Teitaroa Society, meantime, secures the future of coastal and island communities. The Amazonia Fund Alliance, which assists in funding projects of Brazilian nonprofit organisations, will receive the fifth donation from Johnny.
