The highly anticipated Devara Part 1, starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan, hit theatres on September 27 and has already made a massive impact at the box office. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film has collected ₹243 crore globally in just two days, marking a phenomenal start for the pan-India release.
In India, Devara has crossed the ₹100 crore mark, and globally it has surged past ₹200 crore, solidifying its position as a major blockbuster. The film opened with a staggering ₹140 crore on its first day worldwide, followed by ₹38.2 crore in India on the second day, bringing the total domestic earnings to ₹120.7 crore.
Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film has resonated strongly with fans, particularly due to Jr NTR’s star power and fan base. Released in five languages—Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam—the movie has enjoyed significant traction across all markets. It recorded an impressive 60.23% occupancy in the Telugu-speaking regions on Saturday, with notable viewership across other language markets as well.
This success marks Devara as the highest-grossing solo opener for both Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. For Jr NTR, it’s his first solo release since 2018’s Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, after his memorable role in SS Rajamouli’s RRR With Devara poised to break more records over the weekend, it’s clear that Jr NTR’s return to the silver screen has been nothing short of triumphant. As audiences continue to flock to theatres, all eyes are on Devara Part 1, which is well on its way to becoming one of the biggest hits of the year.
