Judge grants Megan Thee Stallion a restraining order against Tory Lanez

Megan Thee Stallion has been granted a five-year restraining order against Tory Lanez following her emotional testimony in a Los Angeles courtroom.

According to TMZ, the Hiss rapper testified virtually from Los Angeles County Superior Court, stating that the 2020 shooting incident left her in constant distress. “I want my restraining order because I haven’t been at peace since I [was] shot,” she told the court.

Megan also accused Lanez of orchestrating a smear campaign against her through bloggers, alleging that he paid one journalist via his father to spread misinformation. As Rolling Stone reported, she became visibly emotional while detailing the anxiety and harassment she faces, including audience members at her concerts shouting, “Free Tory.”

The judge found her testimony compelling and ruled in her favor, granting a restraining order that mandates Lanez must stay at least 100 yards away from Megan, her home, workplace, and vehicle. He is also prohibited from communicating with her in any way.

Lanez is already serving a 10-year prison sentence for shooting Megan in the feet in 2020, but the restraining order adds an extra layer of legal protection for the rapper.
